14-time FBU alum Logan Tanner shares fondest FBU memory

March 26th, 2018

8th grade tight end Logan Tanner, hailing from Springs, Texas, has been attending Football University camps since 2014.

Learning from former NFL players and coaches at FBU – coaches who have experience at the highest level – has helped Tanner on and off the field.

“Being taught by NFL coaches over the last four years, and attending 14 camps have taught me to be the player and young man I am today. There is nobody better than FBU,” said Tanner.

Early on in his process he learned that there is always room for improvement. His fondest memory came after an end-of-camp one-on-one evaluation with WR Coach Fred Barnett.

“Freddie Barnett gave me a failing grade in my 6th grade evaluation. It pushed me. At Top Gun he was my coach once again, but I was prepared to succeed. He gave me all excellent in each category. That showed me what I need to do to get better and I’ve been to multiple camps every year since.”

Tanner was able to take the tips given to him at the regional camp and improve by the time Top Gun rolled around.

This past weekend at FBU Houston, Tanner was awarded the Middle School Leadership Award. Tanner will be participating in the inaugural Texas Showdown in Austin later this spring, and will be at Top Gun in July once again.
