
Xavier Truss was selected today as a 2019 All-American offensive tackle, a recognition that is only bestowed on 100 football players every year.
Hailing from Rhode Island meant Truss didn’t have the pedigree of playing in a football powerhouse of state. However, he and his family refused to let that stop him.
Truss has attended at least one Football University event over the past six years. Training with NFL-experienced coaches in a competitive environment allowed Truss to gain valuable skills that he could use on the football field and in the film room. FBU had such a big impact on his football development that Truss thanked FBU during his All-American Bowl acceptance speech. You can watch his whole speech below.
