Held annually in Naples, Florida in association with Championship Week, the Futures Showcase is open to athletes in 6th through 9th-grade. Championship Week in Naples, FL is also home to the finals of the FBU National Championship Tournament, and the FBU Freshman All-American Bowl.
The Futures Showcase is a one-day assessment of football skill for student-athletes wanting to Showcase their talents in front of some of the best evaluators in the country. This event is modeled after NFL minicamps, with measurable testing, assessments of football skill and development, and functional feedback designed for future improvement. Student-athletes will receive combine measurements/testing (height, weight, wingspan, 40-yard dash, pro agility, 5-10-5 & broad jump) and participate in showcase drills (1v1’s, 7v7, etc.).
The FBU Futures Showcase will provide certified and legitimate exposure for student-athletes in attendance. Selection committee members from the National Combine, UA Next 8th Grade Game, FBU Freshman All-American Bowl and Navy All-American Bowl will be on-site to evaluate athletes in attendance. UC Report Personnel will be on-site to film testing drills, distribute invites to elite events, create select profiles and distribute information to their collegiate database. Finally, National Recruiting Analysts from On3, ESPN, UC Report and 247sports will be on-site to evaluate players, create profiles for select top performers and to provide a post-event recap article.
The Futures Showcase will be awarding National Combine invites to top 2029 athletes, FBU Freshman All-American Bowl Invites to top 2030 athletes, UC Report Awards to all top performers & MVP’s and 247Sports recognition to the top 2029 and 2030 student-athletes. UA Selection Committee will be on-site to distribute invites to the 2026 & 2027 UA Futures Next 8th Grade All-Star Game.
All participating student-athletes should come prepared with shorts, socks, cleats, shoes/slides and water. Student-Athletes will receive an official Futures Showcase Shirt, Combine Wristband and additional FBU/Sponsor apparel.
