Steve Quinn had a vision. But even the most optimistic of visions couldn’t portend what was to come.
Naples, FL – Having worked for All-American Games for over a decade, Quinn saw how synonymous Williamsport, Pennsylvania, had become with youth baseball, and wondered why Naples couldn’t do the same for youth football. Quinn’s internal question started burning brighter in 2014, when Football University first brought its national semifinals and finals to Naples after a three-year run in San Antonio, Texas.
Five years passed, with FBU continuing to grow roots in the Paradise Coast, before Quinn and business partner Erik Richards decided to purchase Football University from previous owner Doug Berman and move the franchise’s headquarters to Naples.
That vision became a more complete reality soon thereafter, as FBU coupled with the newly built Paradise Coast Sports Complex to explode in scope. Starting in 2019, teams in the 10-under division along with teams in sixth grade, seventh grade and eighth grade began battling it out under our mostly clear blue skies for the right to be called national champions.
