Rashad Lawrence is the founder and lead trainer of Solid Ground Athletics, a sports performance group that develops athletes in North and Central FL. He mentors and trains a diverse group of athletes ranging from elementary school to the NFL.

He graduated from Olympia High School in Orlando, Florida, and received a full athletic scholarship to Northwestern University in 2010. While attending college, Rashad was a member of multiple organizations and served as Team Captain for the Northwestern Wildcats. He received his Bachelor’s degree in 2014, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Business.

After a successful Pro-Day, Rashad was signed undrafted as a Wide Receiver to the Washington Redskins, finishing his Rookie Campaign with the Chicago Bears. Rashad spent the next two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, completing his 4th year in New Orleans and Miami. He recently played for CFL’s Hamilton Wildcats and has since retired from the league. Upon moving back to Jacksonville, Rashad founded Solid Ground Athletics and volunteered as the Wide Receiver Coach for Nease High School. Most recently serving as both their WR coach and Special Teams Coordinator.

Rashad feels honored to have been coached and mentored by some of the most respected minds in the game. He hopes to “Pay It Forward” by sharing what he has learned along his journey with the next generation of student-athletes, ultimately helping them Find Solid Ground.
