From Memphis, Tennessee, Neloms was a 2-star DB coming out of High School. He signed with University of Kentucky and was a four-year starter for the Wildcats. In his time at Kentucky, he played in 43 games, amassed 193 Tackles, 3 sacks and 2 interceptions.

After college, Neloms went on to play in the NFL for the Detroit Lions.
