Donnell Bennett

Biography

Position: Running Backs

Donnell Bennett attended the University of Miami and was roommates with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Winning a National Championship in 1991, Bennett lead his team in rushing 2 years back to back and drafted to the Kansas City Chiefs in the 1994 NFL draft.

After seven seasons with the Chiefs, Bennett signed a free agent contract with the Washington Redskins. He has held a variety of positions in the high school and semi-professional leagues including Offensive and Special Teams Coordinator, Running Backs Coach and Head Coach. Bennett is most proud of his First Head Coaching role at Northeast High School where he turned a desolate program into a state contender. During his tenure at Northeast High School, three District Titles were attained and the team came one game short of playing for a State Championship in 2011.

Bennett currently serves as Director of Player Development at his alma mater Cardinal Gibbons High School.
