Derrick Lewis

Biography

Position: Wide Receivers

Born and raised in New Orleans, LA - Coach Lewis was 4-star Basketball and Track athlete out of high school. He attended Sac City Junior college to prep for the Olympics for track. He began playing football his sophomore year of college and received a full scholarship to San Diego State University.

His strong background in Track helped Derrick excel on the football field as he led the nation in yards per catch 2 years in a row.

After college, he was signed by the New Orleans Saints and played with them 2 years. He then signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and eventually followed Coach Kyle Shanahan to the Houston Texans.

He currently is coaching WR and is the OC at Del Valle High School in Austin, TX.
