Joe Shimko, an NC State commit with a full-ride scholarship, shares that this is actually his first Football University camp. Joe took advantage of timing and saw an opportunity for growth when he first started as a long snapper just 16-months ago. Previously an outside linebacker, Joe received a varsity spot as a sophomore as a long snapper.

Robert Shimko, Joe’s father, shares his son’s success in traveling with him for various events and it has been a very busy past year and a half.

“The level of competition here is by far the best that we have seen,” Robert states.

Quentin Skinner III is no stranger to Football University events. Skinner has attended four Top Gun camps, was an FBU Youth All-American (7th & 8th grade), and played in the FBU Freshman All-American Bowl.

Being named an All-American “…was a dream come true for him,” said Theresa, Skinner’s mother.

Dad, decked out in LSU purple and gold – Quentin’s future school – previously played at Wyoming. Among a few happy tears, Mom shared that her most proud moment has been getting to see Quinton III form a relationship his Dad. “You can get caught up in the competition, and that never happened. They built a beautiful relationship together.”

“We are big fans of FBU. It’s been a great experience,” states Quentin’s father.
