Defensive backs are commonly some of the highest paid players on the roster. If your team is able to solidify a lockdown corner it makes life much easier for the other 10 people on the field. Football University breaks down the Top 5 corners heading into the 2018 season.

Patrick Peterson

One of the few corners in the league who can consistently follow the opposing teams top receiver and make them a non-factor. Plays the game with very good technique which allows him to bounce around in the secondary.

Jalen Ramsey

Rising star in the league Ramsey had his Jaguars 1 game away from the Super Bowl. Has emerged as the vocal leader of the team and his play on the field backs up his outspoken personality. Was selected to his first ever Pro Bowl following a strong sophomore season.

Marshon Lattimore

Lattimore exploded onto the scene as a rookie for the Saints. He recorded 5 interceptions and 53 tackles while on his way to winning Defensive Rookie of the Year. Expect for Lattimore to have another strong season as he plays in a division full of talented quarterbacks.

A.J. Bouye

Quarterbacks had a league low a 33.8 pass rating against the Jaguars corner. Earned Pro Bowl honors after recording 6 interceptions and 56 total tackles.

Marcus Peters

Peters will be joining a loaded Rams defense in 2018. Always a threat to force a turnover when on the field. If he is able to control his temper and not get distracted he should be able to help the Rams make a deep playoff run.
