David Castillo, returns to the Seton Hill coaching staff as defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator for the 2022 season.

Castillo was previously defensive backs coach at East Stroudsburg University in 2018.

Prior to that, he was the head football coach at East Stroudsburg North High School in 2017. He was also an assistant coach at Wilkes in 2016, and has additional coaching experience in football and basketball in the East Stroudsburg North school district.

Castillo has also coached All-Conference selections at ESU and Wilkes. He coached Marcellus Hayes and Isiah Robinson who were both All MAC selections and Billy Inge who was an All PSAC East safety.

Following his career at ESU, Castillo competed in semi-professional football for the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks (2012-15), NEPA Miners (2012-14) and Erie Explosion (2014).

Castillo started 38 games in his career at ESU from 2007-10, finishing with nine interceptions and 36 pass breakups for 45 passes defensed which was top 20 in division 2 in that span of time. He led the PSAC at 1.45 per game (3 interceptions, 13 breakups) as a senior. He helped the Warriors to a 9-2 record as a sophomore in 2008, and 8-4 record and NCAA DII Playoff appearance in 2009. David Castillo, a four-year starter and first-team All-PSAC East cornerback for the East Stroudsburg University Warriors as a senior in 2010, returns to the Seton Hill coaching staff as defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator for the 2021 season.
