Biography

Position: Defensive Backs

Coach Banks is a 2016 graduate of Evanston High School. He was a 3-star recruit coming out of high school. He was team captain and earned first team all-state by the Chicago Tribune. Named 8A all-state by the IHSA and was his conference’s offensive player of the year. He recorded 44 catches for 705 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior.

Went on to play collegiately at the Miami of Ohio, where he played all four seasons - appearing in 45 games. During his senior year in 2019, he led the team with five interceptions, which was tied for most in the MAC and seventh-most nationally … had a crucial interception in the fourth quarter of the MAC Championship Game against Central Michigan … had two picks against Bowling Green and one each against Cincinnati and Kent State … had a career-high seven tackles against Kent State … named MAC East Defensive Player of the Week following the Bowling Green game.
