Enrique Williams

Biography

Position: Linebackers, Defensive Backs

Graduated from Blount High School in 2009, and signed a full athletic scholarship to play for the first football team in the University of South Alabama’s athletic program history. Finished his career at South Alabama as a 3x All Conference selection and all time leader in career tackles in program history with 344 tackles. Coach Williams graduated  from South Alabama in 2014 with a bachelor’s in sports management. After graduation, Coach Williams signed a contract to play football overseas for the Warsaw Eagles, a professional European team in Poland. The following year, he signed to play for the Lura Bulls, a professional European football team in Norway. During his time in Norway, the Bulls won their first national championship in program history and he became a first team All-Star selection as a Linebacker. After retiring from football in 2015, he began coaching at the collegiate level under Head Coach Bill Clark at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While at UAB, Coach Williams received his sports performance certification from USA-W at the University of Alabama. After his stint at UAB, Coach Williams returned to Mobile in 2018 and coached at Murphy High School for one year. Coach Williams is currently in his second year as the linebackers and strength coach at St. Paul’s Episcopal School, and also works as an athletic trainer for D1 Training under personal brand Goat Life Sports Performance.
