Chad Grier comes to Football University as the Head Coach at Davidson Day School in North Carolina. With a 57-6 record, Grier has led the team to four state championships and 1 state runner up in the only five varsity football seasons the school has had. Twenty-five players have gone on to college careers in the SEC, ACC, Ivy League, Southern and Colonial conferences, among others. Each of his three quarterbacks have earned All-State honors including his son, Will Grier, who was a two-time North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year, U.S. Army All American, three-time Max Preps All American, and winner of four National Player of the Year Awards.
In 2016, Grier had the honor of serving as an assistant coach for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. As a new coach to FBU, Chad brings more than 20 years of experience in training quarterbacks both privately and at numerous camps.
What Grier thinks about FBU:
"I believe in hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. Developing and improving fundamental technique is exactly what a player should work hard on to prepare for success on the field!"
