The Best Instructors in the Nation with the Passion to Make a Difference for our Young Athletes
At the heart of FBU is its elite instructional staff made up of former NFL coaches and NFL athletes - the best technicians ever assembled – who spend 18 hours with our elite FBU athletes at each camp. Almost all of our instructors currently train, on a private basis, top NFL and college athletes preparing for the NFL Combine and the NFL Draft. They agree to train at FBU because they understand that FBU gathers the nation’s top football players who desire and are prepared for the elite instruction they provide.
To build our core staff, FBU searched the nation and interviewed more than 100 candidates who wanted to teach at FBU. We then hand selected each instructor to lead the FBU curriculum and agreed to pay them a premium to train our FBU athletes. Our quarterback instructors privately trained Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Tony Romo, Drew Brees, JaMarcus Russell and Matt Ryan. Our other positional instructors have the same teaching pedigree and also train top NFL athletes who play running back, wide receiver, defensive back, linebacker, offensive and defensive line and punter/kicker.
These are the FBU instructors who provide the private evaluation of our athletes at the end of each FBU, and the instructors who, upon completion of FBU, will provide our athletes with their follow up off-season positional work out routine to nurture the progress of our young athletes. These are the same instructors who will want to follow up and hear about our athletes’ progress throughout the year, and the same instructors who will challenge our athletes to raise the bar on their work effort, their technique, and their character development.
For these reasons, it is important to find and attract the nation’s best instructors as they will make the difference in the careers of our young athletes.
The ingredients needed to become an FBU lead instructor include:
1. On-field success in the NFL based on both great technique and physical ability.
2. Ownership of an elite curriculum and technology that has been used at the NFL level and/or the college level used to teach athletes for the NFL Draft and the NFL Combine.
3. Powerful ability to communicate the elite curriculum to the prep and youth athlete and the ability to “bring it down” to a level understood by our youth and prep athletes.
4. A passion to teach and inspire our FBU athletes for three days and the passion to teach “every rep” for 18 hours; the passion to change a young athlete’s career.
Our NFL instructors will focus on teaching “technique” and “skill” – which will allow our elite athletes to “win” when faced with similar or equal football ability.
