FBU Coach Norm Anderson was a star with the UCLA Bruins, as both a player and coach. During his tenure, he appeared in a combined 7 Rose and Fiesta Bowls and finished his career with an unblemished record in those games. After playing at UCLA, Norm spent time with the Chicago Bears. Anderson returned to his Alma Mater and began his coaching career in 1977. He would go on to coach WR's and RB's over a 9 year period at UCLA. After leaving UCLA, Andersen became the Offensive Coordinator for Iowa State from 1987-91. Norm had a short stint as the Assistant Coach of the University of Arizona football team before returning to coach at UCLA.
The versatile Anderson has unique skills that have enabled him to coach and train some great players at 3 different positions. At QB he coached Steve Bono of the Niners; at RB he coached Gaston Green of the Jets; and at WR he coached JJ Stokes of the Niners.
