Kwamie Lassiter

Biography

Position: Defensive Backs

As a top defensive back at the University of Kansas, Kwamie Lassiter went on to play for the Arizona Cardinals, establishing a strong relationship with the organization that spanned 8 years.

After his playing time with the Cardinals, Lassiter spent two seasons with the San Diego Chargers and St. Louis Rams. In 1998, he tied an NFL record with 4 interceptions in a single game. His career stats included 650 tackles and 26 interceptions, leading the league in interceptions one year and holding the second spot the following year.

Upon retiring from the NFL, Lassiter went on to serve as the defensive coach and defensive coordinator at Mesa Community College. Currently, Kwamie is the president of the NFL Alumni Arizona chapter and also the president of www.TheKwamieLassiterFoundation.org.
