Central McClellion


Position: Defensive Backs, Linebackers

FBU Defensive Back Coach Central McClellion began his football career at Ohio State from 1994 to 1999. He lettered all years and was the special teams captain his senior year. He was also recognized by the Ohio State Athletic Counsil for his academic achievement. Coach McClellion made 5 BCS Bowl appearances. At Ohio State, McClellion was coached by then Defensive Back coach Lovie Smith and Larry Coker. During his time at Ohio State, Central played along side legendary cornerbacks Shawn Springs, Nate Clements, and Antoine Winfield.

McClellion was signed as an undrafted free agent in 1999 by the Cleveland Browns. Central would then take his talents to NFL Europe, where he helped the Scottish Claymores reach the World Bowl in 2000. He then joined the CFL's British Columbia Sea Lions, where he took home the Grey Cup in 2000. He joined the Washington Redskins in 2001, where he played with some of the best NFL cornerbacks of all time; Champ Bailey and Deion Sanders.
